Privacy Policy

CoinLog is an offline expense and income tracker. This policy is short because the app does very little with your data: it doesn't collect it in the first place.

The short version

• No account, no sign-up, no login.
• No server. CoinLog has nothing to sync to — the Android app doesn't even request the network/internet permission.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third-party trackers of any kind.
• All your entries — amounts, notes, categories, dates — are stored in a local database on your device only, and are deleted if you uninstall the app.
• Nothing leaves your phone unless you deliberately export or email something yourself.

Data we collect

None. CoinLog does not have a backend, does not phone home, and has no way to receive data from your device even if it wanted to. There is no CoinLog account, so there's nothing tied to your identity anywhere outside your phone.

Data stored on your device

Every transaction, category, and setting you create is stored in a local SQLite database inside the app's private storage. This data stays there for as long as the app is installed and is removed when you uninstall CoinLog. We — the developer — never see it.

Exporting your data

CoinLog can export your transactions as a CSV file at your request, using your device's normal share sheet. That export goes wherever you choose to send it (a file, another app, cloud storage you control) — CoinLog itself does not upload or transmit it anywhere.

Contacting support

The Support & About screen can open your email app with a pre-filled message to report a problem or suggest a feature. That message includes only: what you typed, the app version and build number, your OS and OS version, and a count of your transactions and categories — never amounts, notes, or dates. You see the full message before it sends, since it opens in your own mail app, and it is only sent if you press send there.

Permissions

CoinLog does not request the internet/network permission on Android. The only device access it uses is local storage, to read and write its own database, and (only when you choose to export or share) the system share sheet / file picker.

Children's privacy

CoinLog does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Given the app's design — local-only storage, no server — there's not much room for this policy to get more permissive over time without it being a very visible change to the app itself.
